ABOUT UNITY EAST AND THE UNITY MOVEMENT

Unity East Church offers you a welcoming and accepting spiritual community. It is founded on the principles of Practical Christianity, which can be applied in a positive way to the opportunities of everyday life. The basic Unity beliefs are (1) God is good and everywhere present; (2) There is a spark of Divinity, the Christ Spirit, present within each one of us; (3) We can change our life experience when we reorder our thinking to the highest levels of consciousness; (4) Prayer and meditation provide our best connection to God and (5) Knowing the Truth only becomes transformational when we practice it. Unity is a worldwide non-denominational Christian movement co-founded by Charles and Myrtle Fillmore in Kansas City, MO in 1889. Unity publishes THE DAILY WORD magazine and offers 24/7 comfort and support through its Silent Unity Prayer ministry. There are more than 1200 Unity churches and study groups in operation throughout the world.
